Hello my fellow plasticrack-heads!
We need an outlet to toss around ideas for possible HeroClix scenarios, so I figured I should start one.
If you have suggestions on what type of game you'd like to play on Mondays, post it here. Each week we can review possibilities and take a vote or something democratic like that. Here's one to get started:
Repel the Invasion: No more than half of your team must be aliens (as in not from earth... have to clarify in tx), and no more than the other half must be puny earthlings. For each match, whoever rolls highest and chooses the map must play as the aliens brought by both players. Their opponent plays with the earthlings brought by both players. |

Personally, I'd like to have a Heroclix night that honors one of my best customers and closest friends. This one's for Caleb, Ricky. Here's the rap:
"Ackerman-Arse-Woopin" 400 pts. Highlander rule is in effect All figs must be heroes who were in existence prior to 1980 (Caleb's a big back-issue guy) Fig's name must contain the letters "A and C" (in any order - anywhere) Skinny body-type prefered but not required (goes toward fellowship)

At somepoint before Blackest Night is over we need to play the "Color Wars!"
Color Wars / War of Light: 7 figures / 700 points 10% feat cap
Each member of your force must:
A) Be donned predominately in a specific color of the rainbow (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet)
or
B) Represent the emotional spectrum for a specific color Red= Rage (i.e. Brutes or Monsters) Orange= Avarice (Greed) (i.e. Lex Luthor, or just about any badguy) Yellow= Fear (i.e. any Sinestro Corps member, Scarecrow, etc.) Green= Will (i.e. Willpower, GLC members) Blue= Hope (i.e. Superman, Celebrity heroes) Indigo= Compassion (i.e. Support, Defend pieces) Violet= Love (this one's gotta be a woman to be accurate: Phoenix, Scarlet Witch, Dagger, etc.)
Black and White are not legal colors for this event.
Each color MUST be represented once and only once (color OR emotion).
For Green Lantern fans, any figure that has been a part of ANY Corps may be used to represent that color (i.e. Ganthet or Hal for Blue, Fatality was both Sinestro Corps and Sapphire Corps)
Y'Never know, if we like the way it turns out, maybe the following week the winner can play against everybody's zombie/Black Lantern teams.... |

I'd be open to an "Alien House Rule" keyword.
Where alien is defined as "not from planet earth"...what say you??? |

| Only if female, black, asian, gay, wealthy, and techno can also be considered "keywords" for a theme team. My argument stems from the fact that there are more "aliens" than many of those categories combined. Also, the old WK quit using mutant as a keyword due to similar circumstances. |

It is still a valid keyword, but one that will never be printed again on future pieces. When WK put up the restricted format keywords, mutant was given to those that deserved it (mostly) from Supernova, Sinister, and Armor Wars. A couple of months later, WK released keywords for all the other unrestricted sets, and guess what? No mutants. Check your lists. Why is M & M Prof X a mutant and Infinity Challenge Prof X is not? Wizkids did not intend for keywords to be too generic or broad, Seth Johnson himself said that that was the only reason they chose not to have an "alien" keyword. Why they did not choose Wealthy and High Tech as keywords is beyond me. IMLTHO, if we allow alien as a keyword then it should only count for team building and not for Warbound and Inside Info. As far as theme teams are concerned, I wholeheartedly feel that if you build a team around any one central theme (keyword or not) then you are playing a theme team. If I play Adam Warlock, Drax, Gamora, and Mantis....I'm playing a Guardians of the Galaxy theme! None of those pieces have the keyword, so how about you pick up the book and read it (one of Marvel's best). Guess what? They're all in there. WK, in all of their infinite wisdom, did not read their source material very closely, and they weren't very thorough or consistent with assigning keywords. That's why Bishop doesn't have the mutant keyword, just a worthless M tattoed on his face. That's why most of the members of the Secret Society of Super-Villains and Injustice League and the Legion of Doom do not possess their keywords. Moondragon was an Avenger and a Defender for quite a long time (check your Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe...or buy a copy from Rob for 24.95), and she didn't get either keyword. If you play an Avengers or Defenders theme and feature Moondragon, I will not only commend you for your knowledge of the books, I will also defend you from the ignorant gamesharks afraid to play you. However, if you play a team where everyone is wearing a cape or a mask, don't expect the same treatment. In comics they're as common as cellphones... |

My next Suggestion:
The Stepford Clix: Every member of your force must have the same hair color, or all must be bald (go FRO)!! Hair color, or lack of, must be evident on the sculpt. Once and for all we shall find out if blonde's truly do have all the fun... |
