Fat Ogre Event Policies:
1. All Fat Ogre Games & Comics Events are for ACTIVE PURCHASING CUSTOMERS of Fat Ogre.
2. Please don’t “No-Show” events without calling Fat Ogre to let us know you can’t make it, especially if you previously committed to an event date/time on the Fat Ogre Forums. Again, please understand that other players will be expecting your arrival, so show courtesy and call to say you can’t make it beforehand.
3. There is no cursing, smelling like alcohol, farting, belching, sore-picking, drugs, sexually explicit, or otherwise anti-social behavior allowed inside the store. Have fun but keep it clean! Fat Ogre Games & Comics is a family store, so please treat it as such.
4. Please don’t abuse Event Time Blocks. If an event is scheduled to run from 6pm through 8pm, then don’t run it until 9pm. We understand that this is sometimes unavoidable and we’ll give an extra 30 minutes or so here and there for “overage” when necessary (Staff’s discretion). Moderators, please make sure you can run the event within your allotted time slot.
5. While Fat Ogre does allow outside food to be ordered/eaten inside the store, outside drinks are NOT PERMITTED. We sell many fine beverages ranging from $1.00 to $3.00 (tax included) for those high-powered caffeine bombs such as Bawls, Jolt, Monster, Nerd, etc. We also sell cheeseburgers and many scrumptious snacks (all at great prices).
6. Always be kind to your fellow players. Sometimes conflicts will arise (it’s only human), but please handle these situations politely and diplomatically. If you feel you can’t resolve a situation on your own (politely) then simply ask for moderation from the Staff. The Fat Ogre Team is here to help!
7. Fighting with, arguing excessively, or being disrespectful to another player (and/or Staff) can and WILL result in ejection from the store. Don’t let it come to that. Please call on the Fat Ogre Staff for assistance.
8. Unpurchased inventory is NEVER allowed in the Event Area. If you haven’t bought it yet, please do not take it over to the Event Tables. Smile! You're on camera.
9. Please do not block isles with your chair/figure cases/body, etc. Remember that shoppers must be able to get to our various awesome products! It’s our sales that keep us in business, so please don’t hamper that by blocking off parts of the store.
10. Please don’t come to events if you stink. Wash up first. Remember there are other people present who have to sit for hours and smell you. If you stink, you’ll be politely notified by the Staff to go home and clean up, and to please come back and join us once you’ve done so. Key point here: If you stink… you leave.
11. Please don’t help the Staff run the store. The Ogre Management Team has things fully under control. We want to be the best at what we do and we will be, but it takes time. Enjoy your event but kindly leave the business end of things to us.
12. Please do not bring your children to Fat Ogre Events if you are playing in an event (kids over 12 years old may participate in Events, however). Remember that some of the other players may have taken that night off to be away from their own kids, so it’s simply not fair if you bring yours.
13. Please support the store. Fat Ogre Games & Comics loves having a large Event Area, along with having Events all seven days of the week…every single week. Please support Fat Ogre by purchasing products, drinks, snacks, etc.
14. Please be punctual. Nothing is worse than a group having to wait for that “last person” to show up. If you must be late (ie: traffic), then call the store at (281) 292-8444 and inform the Event Moderator of your situation. |
