| I heard someone in the store suggest an escelation type campaign. Start with a small force and have it work up to much larger battles. I think its a great way for someone to start a new army. |

Great suggestion, yes we are thinking about doing some sort of escalation campaign/league going, or an off shoot of it. And also since the new fantasy rules are coming out ,this week i believe, we are also think a bout doing a warbands type of campaign/league. Keep'em coming ogres! |

I've been a part of an escalation campaign before - they're fun, easy to do, and if you don't award prizes till the end you can afford to give away something big (especially if you charge a weekly entry fee) ...
Anyone ever heard of a challenge-board tournament? |

Sounds good,I can get you some more details when I get back. I don't know if I can respond to any post till I get to Shanghai (I'll be in Wuxi for a couple of days) and I don't think the apartment has internet.

| 2v2 Tourney would be sick! Random team mates and avoid same army types if possible. No unique characters. |

alright so a 2v2 randomness tourny seems to be in the lead. same army types are gonna happen, just by chance, and precentage wise. ill start drafting ideas for the tourny and hopefully get back to yall later tonight or manana with something decent in mind. if we do get this rolling then im gonna shoot for the 3rd of july(yes i know 4th of july weekend :( ) or the next weekend. |

I have a fully painted terrain set from the original Battle for Macragge set that we can use for a themed mission. (It's a downed space cruiser) I think 1000 points per player seems best. I hope we can have no two of the same armies on a team. Even though its more fluffy, I'd like to see the strengths and weaknesses of 2 different armies come together as a team.
Here is a link to the terrain I have: http://www.area52.com.au/images/photos/ttg/bfm/macragge02.jpg |

Ok ogres Sounds good
Got back to Houston today at 2 AM in the morning (which was for me a really dark late afternoon...)
17 hours of plane flights can't mess up a determined ogre. Who is still trying to figure out what time it is and what day.....
Oh well so sounds good Luna 3rd of July is going to be a problem for me, Grandparents in town and I going to be Jetlagged out the wazzu for a while. Hey Luna a site you should check out for some tourny tips is called the NOVAOPEN (www.novaopen.com) they got some really nice game rules and tourniment rules
Usually team tourneys are at 1250 a side, and who you get is who ya get... I once tryed this and ended up w/ a tau player. Which worked fine (Tanks go and hide in a corner) untill we ran into a Ork Horde and a Blood Angels Assualt drop list..........
Also to all Ogres the 11th Company is a podcast that I listen to that gives stratgy and tactics plus goes over all the armys, so I recomend going to check them out (www.tangtwo.com/11thcompany) the podcast and fourms are free, so go and check them out. The 11th comapany I also heard does some shoutouts over air if you ask them to (so say we wanted to advertise for the nxt tourny, they would put it on for free I think... I can get more details later but just a thought.)
Ok ogres glad to be back for Hamburgers and Steaks!

We could set up the Team tournament like they do at Adepticon. Teams must consist of three pre-selected army lists and teammates (they go four, but we're smaller) and the two players are selected randomly of the three. That way, you can develop tactics, synergy, etc with your teammates and not have a Daemons player combined with a drop-podding Wolves player against two static gunlines..
Pros: Each list can be built to tailor with its teammates.
Cons: Some pretty cheesy combos.. you have to find two teammates to begin with, and some players may show up and not get to play as much.
Of course, we could modify it by saying the teammate that *isn't* in the tournament game can compete in a 1 on 1 with the other guy, and the winner earns extra points for his team... |

| Really I don't think there is much more to say about the team Tournament, here are the two styles that seem to work best. |
