Little Mo Space...

#958 3 years, 5 months ago
Hiya, Ogres! Hoping everyone's well and ready for Christmas.

The daily joke at the register recently has been "Are you all done with your Christmas shopping"? Answer: "Yes"

"So what did you buy me"? heh. I know... crass... but that's me.

Hey guys! Guess what happened around here. Someone poked a hole in the wall and now we're 3500 square feet. Your original store was 1125 sq ft, so this is a little bit of a change. Fat Ogre be PHAT!

We're more than twice the size we were. I call it the "Double-Wide-Trailor". heh.

Here's what i've seen. The SAME DAY we knocked the wall down, i had Ogres playing on our new tables in the new space. I saw guys squeezing in between construction workers just to get that game in. It felt nice to see my guys actually having some room to breathe. You don't know how long i've wanted to see that.

I'd like to say thanks. I'd also like to say you're crazy for playing games around construction workers and sitting underneath a bucket of paint ready to spill on your bald heads. You didn't care, though. Y'all have always seen just one thing. You want your store, Ogre, to be the best it can be. I've learned a lot from the Gamers after three years. You like to win. You guys just "Game-On" no matter what. Pretty cool. I'll always remember that.

Please enjoy this new Fat Ogre, ok? Please know one thing with all this, ok? This expansion is for YOU. You asked me for it, you supported it, and truth be told... you PAID FOR IT! . Right?

Almost three years ago, some dumb-ass started a games/comic shop. He was given a 3% chance of staying open the first year. He was then told he'd have a 5% chance of staying in business from year 2 through 3.

Would y'all like to help me assemble a pile of "something" that we can throw at the stat-guys? Anyone feel like mooning some experts right about now? Heh.

Hey... together, we beat some tough odds. I want you to feel proud of that, Ogres. We have always and will always kick "A" and we don't care who says what.

I am proud to be on your team. Moreso, i am proud to be a part of this loyal family. You've built something magical, guys.

Ogres Rule.

Bleed Green. Growl. Dare to be different. Always win.

Respectfully yours,

Rob

I just have one question ogre cheiften *growl* ""How could we not enjoy the expansion?""

Another thing is, is that I feel that you are givin us store shoppers and gamers a little too much credit, In my well, relitivly short life so far, I have bee to many a comic/hobby shop.

But it was different going into those shops. You never got a ""good mornin'"" and no one ever asked if you were doin okay or if you had any problems. The Staff in those other store just fealt like they didn't care about you, they just wanted a buck. Many a person frowned at me and didn't even dare to let me in when I had ordered stuff from their website, And those stores

FAILED

Epically Failed. One store in under FIVE MONTHES

SO maybe it's not us buyers that come to the store for a good time, Its you Ogre Cheiften that makes us come back for that really awesome time. I know I said it mulitiple times to my mom that I wanted to come down to see the store for advice or just to see you, Doc, And James. Because its you guyes willlingness to all ways smile and cut your lunch break short for us loyal fans that makes this store special over any other store. (I know alot of the guys at the gaming club wan to be ogres for their summer jobs when their old enough)

I remeber the day I first went to the store for warhammer 40k. I was 11 or 12 and I was scared b/c mom wasn't here and a guy whom all I knew wasn't you (and was acutally James) was at the cash register AS I sat there shaking James looked at me and asked me some stuff about my self. I was kind of rude by telling him minimum he wanted to know, but he still simeled and kept on talking to me unill that next Warhammer 40k guy came in. Doc came in soon after and helped that guy teach me how to play. I am pretty sure I made his and DOc lifes miserable for the next few Fridays b/c I kept forgettin rules or doing something I shouldn't have but thy where to help me and not groan or blow me off when I had a question. And thats what made me want to come and play at the store again

So I feel that I just want to say thanks for the Awesome 3 years and OGRE WILL STILL BE MOVIN FORWARD FOREVER !!!!!

o and also I got some really sharp knives a blow torch a couple of electric saws and a bunch of metal pipes If It would help your pile

Your humble Mini Ogre Warrior
